Ms Calandar is doing her best to make up her betrayal of Giles and Buffy and Angel is playing the evil stalker to the max. His game playing changes things for everyone, for both the Team Slayer and those around them. There are some great moments and while this is a dark episode once again it the scenes between Buffy and her Mum that really stand out. Joyce isn't seen often but she always stands out when she does.

Synopsis: Cordilia breaks up with Xander on Valentines Day
Xander catches Amy casting spells in school and blackmails her into helping get some payback with Cordilia. This being a Xander episode things go wrong and he finds being the centre of attraction not quite what he imagined.
Everyone gets to have some fun in this, acting all out of character, or it could be that wanting to take an axe to certain men in your life is normal under certain circumstances.

Synopsis: Happiness never lasts
Thanks to experiencing a perfect moment of happiness with Buffy, Angel is back as Bad. He quickly exerts his alpha status over Spike's nest of vamps and decides the only way to take down Buffy is with psycological games. Of course all the lustful shenanigans that have been going on don't just cause issues for Buffy; Xander and Cordelia get sprung by Willow leading to a genuinely beautiful moment between her and Oz in the front of his van.

Synopsis: The gang are preparing a party to celebrate Buffy's birthday and Drucilla and Spike a party to welcome "The Judge".
There is a lot happening in this episode. We have prophetic dreams, Ms Calender having a conversation with an Eastern European gypsy about Angel, and arms popping out of boxes to strangle people. A good tight episode where no piece seems tacked on for hawtness. Plus with Dru, Spike and the lovely laconic Oz how could this ep be anything else but a win. It is the first of a two parter too so a definite incentive to do a ride tomorrow;-)

Synopsis: Buffy's class are given eggs to look after as an exercise in responsibility.
I would be eggsaggerating if I said this was an eggselent episode. It comes to a slow boil with lots of tonsil hockey involving Buffy, Angel, Zander and Cordilia featuring prominently. But since this episode's school activity that is sure to lead to trouble comes from a sex ed class where raging hormones is mentioned by the teacher all the ardent Lerv isn't to far from the plot. Another reason for the eggscruciatingly long first and second acts is the arrival of a couple of new vamps in town that needed to be introduced.
The best part of this story was Buffy and her Mum, with Joyce finally getting tired of Buffy's seeming irresponsibility.
